Pete Fricker

Pete studied at the International Glass Centre, Brierley Hill, from 2007 to 2009.  In late 2010 he joined a partnership to form the Stourbridge Glassblowing Studio in the refurbished Ruskin Glass Centre in Amblecote, Stourbridge.

Current work consists of blown glass and solid forms characterised by the use of rich base colours with the application of trails, often in combination with optic moulds, cane and shards, and kiln-formed pick-ups. He uses photographic and sketch book references to develop abstract designs from sources ranging from biology, natural history and landscape to scrap yards and dilapidated buildings.

Current Practice

He makes most Thursdays at Stourbridge Glassblowing Studio, Ruskin Glass Centre, Wollaston Road, Amblecote, Stourbridge, DY8 4HF.  His work, which has only recently come onto the market, is on sale from the studio and a few selected galleries.
