The School of Art & Design at the University of WolverhamptonThere is a long track record of art and design education in Wolverhampton dating back to 1851. Today, the School of Art and Design is one of nine academic schools within the University of Wolverhampton.

The School occupies a landmark city centre site with outstanding studio, workshop and teaching spaces and facilities acknowledged to match the best in Europe.

The School aims to develop a creative community in which all its members can flourish.  It celebrates the many successes of its staff and students. It operates on the basis that the attainment of research excellence is an integral part of sustaining a vibrant and outward facing art and design community. Its progressive approach to study is matched by a similarly integrated approach to the communities that it serves and within which it operates. Its role within the educational, cultural and regeneration agendas of its immediate region thus operates alongside its aspirations as a national and international player in the professional and educational fields of art and design practice.
