Simon Bruntnell Photography workshop

Photography Workshop for the International Festival of Glass 2012
Location: My studio, Northlight Photography The Ruskin Glass Centre, Stourbridge,

I was intending on doing some workshops for the next festival.
I was going to tackle 5 subjects over two days.

day 1) Beads and Jewellery (Sat)

day 2) Panels, blown and Kiln cast glass (Sun)

It was going to be slightly different this time. 10 people only, each can bring one item of glass (small-ish, ie fits in shoe box and small panels). which I will photograph for them showing the technique as I do it.
we then look at equipment needed, cameras, lenses, lighting, tripods, props, digital shooting and outputting file types for magazines and the internet. I will give a slide show talk on image usage (what magazines/ publishers want and are looking for in a shot.)
finally creating a digital file and basic retouching techniques.
I will then create a download site for people to download the days session.

The workshop is aimed at people wanting to move up to 35mm digital SLR type camera, who want to produce images of a professional entry level.
The candidates will not require any equipment, as I will be demonstrating with my equipment (don’t bring any cameras).

Lunch will be included or I will give a voucher to use in the cafe.

Price £120 per person Max 10 per day

Each candidate will have a image shot by me to use for publicity purposes. For more details I will post up here. Also details will be available on the IFG website.
