Ian specialises in produceing hand blown glass pieces, influenced by nature and the oceans flora and fauna. He uses form and colour married with traditional techniques to explore transparency, translucence, reflection and refraction. Ian also uses Silver Leaf in some pieces, with bold colours being complimented by the silvery slivers.
Ian is particularly fond of the Incalmo technique, where two or more vessels are fused together to create one multi coloured piece.
